Inclusion
& Diversity

Halo Behavioral Health strives to cultivate an inclusionary approach and compassionate culture within our organization.

We value our staff, clients, and their families – regardless of their age, gender identity, race, culture, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, language, or socioeconomic status and we choose to celebrate these individual differences and diversities among one another.

We take pride in recognizing our role as a teaching institution and we aim to contribute to the development of a modernized culture through training and research in inclusion, diversity, multiculturalism, racial and social justice, and more.

In accordance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code, Halo Behavioral Health incorporates teaching cultural humility from the onset of training and embeds cultural sensitivity and awareness within our practices. However, in light of recent events, we feel it is our responsibility to do more and go beyond our ethics code to not only avoid perpetuating oppressive systems, but to also combat them.

Moving forward, we will aim to be progressive by incorporating on-going trainings, seeking the ever changing information available, and growing with what we learn throughout the process. We promise to continue to fight for social justice and educate those around us in order to fulfil our obligation to be agents of change.
