Current Job Openings at Halo Behavioral Health
Clinical Supervisor
The role of clinical supervisors involves conducting initial and ongoing applied behavior analytic assessments for children and adults with autism and other developmental or behavioral disorders in collaboration with the clinical director; correspondingly developing and designing evidence-based and individualized treatment programs to meet the client’s behavior reduction and skill acquisition needs; implementing parent training programs; providing on-going supervision, training, support, and guidance to each case manager and behavior interventionist they supervise in order to ensure the accurate implementation of prescribed treatments; and writing a variety of reports containing cumulative client progress information regarding behavior intervention plans, skill acquisition treatment, and parent training on a monthly and quarterly basis.
In order to be eligible for this position, all applicants must pass a complete criminal background check, receive a certificate of completion in non-violent behavior management strategies that emphasize overall prevention or safe intervention, undergo mandated reporter training, possess a graduate degree, and have already earned their certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Case Manager
Case managers are clinical supervisors in training. Therefore, the role of a case manager involves working under the close and intensive supervision and collaborative support of clinical supervisors on shared cases. In this way, case managers assist clinical supervisors and are delegated supervisory tasks in preparation for becoming a supervising BCBA.
All supervisory tasks delegated involve pre-training, in order to ensure the case manager is set up for success in completing the task, and subsequent performance-based feedback. In the event that corrective feedback is warranted, additional learning opportunities are captured regarding the same supervisory task until proficiency is observed. In this way, case managers are NOT expected to function as clinical supervisors, rather their role entails working closely with clinical supervisors while they are in training for this role. As such, case managers do not execute any supervisory tasks independently and without the feedback and approval of the supervising BCBA.
In order to be eligible for this position, all applicants must pass a complete criminal background check, possess an undergraduate degree, receive a certificate of completion in non-violent behavior management strategies that emphasize overall prevention or safe intervention, undergo mandated reporter training, have earned their credential as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), and / or completed all core coursework in their graduate program. In order to maintain this position, case managers must pass internal written, oral, and in-field competency assessments in every clinical supervisory function.
Behavior Interventionist / Senior Behavior Interventionist
The role of behavior interventionists involves helping individuals to meet their behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals by directly implementing and precisely collecting data on empirically validated applied behavior analytic methods across a variety of settings, such as the school, home, and/or community.
In order to be eligible for this position, all applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a minimum of a high school diploma or national equivalent, have experience in and a passion for working with a variety of populations and presenting problems, pass a complete criminal background check, receive a certificate of completion in non-violent behavior management strategies that emphasize overall prevention or safe intervention, undergo mandated reporter training, complete Halo Behavioral Health’s Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) ® training program and follow up competencies, and earn and maintain their RBT certification.
In order to earn and maintain their RBT credential, each behavior interventionist is required to complete our 40-hour training program, subsequently demonstrate independent competency across all learned skills by passing an internal field examination and external standardized examination, and receive ongoing supervision for a minimum of 5% of the hours spent providing applied behavior analytic services per month. During this time, behavior interventionists receive extensive initial and ongoing group and individual training in effective evidence-based techniques, such as discrete trial teaching (DTT) and naturalistic environment training (NET).
