Megan St Clair

Megan St. Clair, M.A., BCBA 

Co-Clinical Director & Co-Founder

Megan St. Clair has been working with children with autism and related disorders in a clinical capacity for approximately 10 years and has been conducting applied research in this area for the past 8 years.  She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, Los Angeles and her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Psychology with a Behavior Analysis Specialization at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles.

Her vision is to develop a team of qualified specialists that can effectively apply the principles of behavior analysis to improve the quality of life for clients and their families by reducing behavior challenges and remediating skill deficits.

At Halo Behavioral Health, Megan innovates and develops the clinical resources and supports necessary for all clinical staff to execute exceptional case supervision and direct client therapy within the context of empirically validated, individualized behavior management and skill acquisition programming.

Megan is responsible for overseeing and conducting quality assurance evaluations across all clinical services, providing leadership and direction for the management of treatment, and implementing applied research to advance effective treatments for novel clinical concerns.

In her free time, she enjoys dancing, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and tackling new adventures!

Bryan Burra

P. Bryan Burra

Executive Director & Co-Founder

Bryan Burra received his Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Television from the University of Southern California. Before founding Halo, Bryan worked in the film industry for 10 years.  He served many roles while working on development, production, and casting for television and film. During this time, Bryan honed his business skills producing multimillion-dollar budget films while simultaneously managing a family retail store. In 2017, Bryan co-founded Halo Behavioral Health with Megan St. Clair.  Since then, he has dedicated himself to extending the reach of behavior analysis to populations beyond autism spectrum disorder. He is committed to finding and advocating for funding for behavior analytic services for all populations and presenting problems.

Additionally, Bryan is certified as a Safety-Care® Behavioral Safety Trainer and provides Halo Staff with the skills and competencies necessary to effectively prevent, minimize, and manage behavioral challenges while preserving client dignity, safety, and learning.

In Bryan’s free time, he enjoys watching movies, playing with his dog, and traveling to exotic places around the world.

Lauri Simchoni, M.S., BCBA

Co-Clinical Director & Assessments Director

Lauri Simchoni received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego and a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. Lauri received her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in 2016 and has almost 10 years of experience in the field of ABA.

Lauri has worked with a variety of children, adolescents, and adults with varying presenting problems and diagnoses. Her passion is in changing the lives of her clients and their families, as well as the ability to teach others how to implement the principles and procedures of ABA.

At Halo Behavioral Health, Lauri is responsible for overseeing and conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and leads the intake and assessment process for each incoming client. She has extensive experience in conducting FBAs, skills assessments, teaching and working with parents / caregivers, training staff in the field, and developing individualized behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs.

In her free time, she enjoys teaching her puppy new tricks (using shaping and positive reinforcement), hiking, and traveling.

Sakina Kapadia

Sakina Kapadia, M.A. BCBA, received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of California, Irvine in 2008.  Soon after graduating, she began working in behavior analysis as an interventionist.  Sakina obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and attained her BCBA certification.  Since then, she has been working in the field with children and adolescents with autism and other varying diagnoses. Sakina has two young children, and enjoys spending time with her family traveling, cooking, and EATING delicious food!

Ani Rshtouni

Behavior Interventionist

Ani Rshtouni discovered her passion for helping others while working towards her bachelor’s degree at University of Denver.  Currently, Ani is enrolled in Pepperdine University’s master’s program in Behavioral Psychology and is working toward becoming a BCBA while learning all she can from the amazing team at Halo. She hopes to one day take what she learns to support individuals in the juvenile justice system.

When Ani isn’t working or studying, she enjoys traveling around the world, spending time with her family & friends, reading thrillers, and riding the Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure Park as much as she can!

Neda Delgosha

Behavior Interventionist

Neda Delgosha graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor in Arts in Psychology. Neda is currently attending the Master of Science in Behavioral Psychology program at Pepperdine University and is eagerly working towards her certification to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Neda has been in the field since her undergraduate years in San Diego.

Beyond education and ABA, Neda really enjoys quality time spent with friends and family, as well as exploring new places to see, and foods to try.

Jamie O'Flarity

Jamie O’Flarity is a registered behavior technician (RBT) who has been working with differently-abled populations since 2012. He has worked in clinics, homes, and residential programs, with individuals demonstrating a wide range of abilities and behaviors. He particularly enjoys working with and witnessing the success of younger clients.

Jamie is a self-described pizza enthusiast and enjoys an eclectic mix of activities that includes: singing, competitive archery, and cooking. He has a Master of Science in Behavioral Psychology from Pepperdine University and is pursuing his behavior analysis credential.

Jay Smirga

Jay Smirga

Behavior Interventionist

Jay Smirga earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Southern California, with plans to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Jay is passionate about helping adolescents and young adults through challenging times in their lives, regardless of any diagnoses, and has been working in the field for 4 years.

In her free time, Jay enjoys exploring California, cooking new foods, practicing yoga, visiting Hogwarts at Universal Studios, and cuddling with her two cats.

Erika Hopkins

Administrative Assistant

Erika Hopkins has worked as an in-home nurse for years.  She started working with Halo as a short-term job, but has made herself invaluable to our company.

Erika’s passion is cats and dogs.  When we say passion, we mean it.  There is nothing that means more to her than animals.

Shelby Hawkins gained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brigham Young University-Idaho and has recently graduated from Pepperdine University with a master’s in behavioral psychology. Alongside her lifelong passion for understanding human behavior, she enjoys helping people accomplish goals that are tailored to what they want and need most from life.
Outside of the field, Shelby‘s favorite things are to spend time with her husband and their two kitties, reading, and snacking.


Director of Security

Simba Burra is a born behavior analyst.  With proper reinforcers, Simba can perform any trick you ask of him – but his real gift is his ability to modify your behavior.   We call him “The Sheriff” as he has been our Director of Security for over 12 years. 

Simba enjoys (shorter) walks, barking at dogs, and loves interacting with other species of animals.  Simba’s favorite hobby is trying new and interesting types of food. His favorite is salmon, but he will settle for pretty much anything edible.


Director of Emotional Support

Kooper Simchoni received his Puppy Training level 1 degree from Petco in Sherman Oaks, California. He knows several commands and tricks, but is often non-compliant, because, well, he can be!

He loves to sleep under couches and eat lots of treats and bully sticks. His favorite part of the day is when his mom comes back to the office from being out in sessions.  That just makes him so happy!
